New Project Request dialog box

All Project Analyzer projects are imported from your financial system. Use this dialog box to request a new project be created in the financial system for use in Project Analyzer.

Unless otherwise noted, all drop-down list values come from the financial system.

To access this dialog box

Click Request Project on the ribbon bar Home tab.

General Project Information

Field Description
Office Select the office to which the project is assigned
Client Name Select the project client
Project Name Type in a name for the project.
Principal Select the principal assigned to the project.
Project Manager Select the project manager assigned to the project.
Project Type Select the type of project.
New Construction Select this check-box for new construction projects.
Addition Select this check-box for addition projects.
Renovation Select this check-box for renovation projects.

Budget Information

Field Description
Office Select the office to which the project is assigned
Client Name Select the project client
Project Name Type in a name for the project.
Principal Select the principal assigned to the project.
Project Manager Select the project manager assigned to the project.
Project Type Select the type of project.
New Construction Select this check-box for new construction projects.
Addition Select this check-box for new construction projects.
Renovation Select this check-box for new construction projects.
Initial Building Budget

Type in the amount budgeted for building costs associated with the project.

Project Budget Type in the amount budgeted for overall project costs.
Estimated Fee

Type in the fee amount estimated for the project. For more information on estimating project fees, please see the Estimating Fees Overview.

Fee Type

Select the appropriate fee type (Hourly, Lump Sum, Fixed Fee, etc.) from the drop-down list. Available fee types are configured on the System Configuration Options Text tab.


Additional Information

Address Field - Type in the address information for the project in the Address Line 1, 2, 3 and City, State, Zip Code fields as needed.

Project Notes - Type in any additional notes for the project.

Request - Click to send the project creation request.

Send Request Immediately - Do Not Display in Outlook - The process can be automated further by marking the check-box - Send Request Immediately, Do Not Display in Outlook First. This process sends an email to the accounting contact to request a new project to be added to the financial system and by extension to Project Analyzer.
