Ribbon Bar: Schedule Tab

The Schedule tab of the ribbon bar is only visible when the main Schedule tab is active in Project Analyzer. It provides the user with additional tools for managing the project schedule.

Some options available on the Schedule tab vary depending on whether Active Projects or Active Opportunities are selected in the project list. If an option is only available for Active Projects or Active Opportunities, it is noted below. Additional effort types (i.e., Active Marketing and Active Overhead) share the same options as Active Projects.

How to access this tab

On the Project Analyzer ribbon, click the Schedule tab, then click the Schedule tab.


What's on the Ribbon?

Item Description
Import from Financials Opens the Import Schedule from Financial System dialog box, which allows users to load the project schedule from the financial system resource plan for the project, if it exists. The dialog box also allows for the deletion of existing schedule data during import.
Note: This option is only available when Active Projects is selected in the project list.
Lock by Date

When selected, phases that have passed in the schedule cannot be edited. If access to this tool is restricted by permissions, the Lock by Date state will be on and disabled.

The default state is not selected/off.

Schedule Status

Indicates the current schedule status (Open, Approved, Ready for Approval). The status is helpful for reporting purposes and to control if further edits can be made to the schedule.

Schedule Status is grayed out when working with an active opportunity.
