Create a Task

To create a new task on the Tasks tab.

  • As you enter tasks in to the grid, the effort associated with each task will be used to update the remaining effort available in the budget detail, providing you with immediate feedback.
  • This value is used to create a weighted percent complete for the selected phase as a whole, which appears in the Schedule tab.
  • The Effort value is the amount of effort required to complete the task as a unit of time. The Effort Units (Hours (per Detail), Hours, Days, Weeks, Months, Years) represent the unit of time used for the effort. Together, these two columns define the level of effort required for the specific task.
  • The task complete percent is used to created a weighted percentage complete for the selected phase as a whole, which appears on the Schedule tab.
