Accounts Tab

The Accounts tab is pre-populated with value from the Deltek VisionChart of Accounts. Use this tab is to determine which accounts to display in Project Analyzer and how they are used.

Accounts

  • Active – Mark the checkboxes of accounts that you want to display in Project Analyzer. This setting does not impact accounts of Type 4 as they are not directly displayed.

  • Type – Read-only valuesClosed4: revenue accounts, 5: reimbursable expense accounts, 6: reimbursable consultant accounts, 7: non-reimbursable expense accounts, 8: non-reimbursable consultant accountsfrom your financial system

  • Vision Key – Read-only values from Deltek® Vision® ERP software representing the account numbers.

  • Name – Name associated with the account.

You can edit the name for Project Analyzer purposes without impacting the Deltek Vision database.

  • Budgeting – Mark the checkboxes for the accounts that allow budgeting. For example, a company may choose to show legal expenses that are charged to a project’s non-reimbursable expenses but not allow them to be budgeted on a project. In this case, the account would be active but not marked for budgeting.

  • Default Reimbursable – When budgeting reimbursable consultants, you can set one account as the default reimbursable account. This will be the account that is first displayed on the Reimb Consultants tab.

  • ID - The identification number for the account item.

  • Default Non-Reimbursable – When budgeting non-reimbursable consultants, you can set one account when budgeting non-reimbursable consultants. This will be the account that is first displayed on the Non-Reimb Consultants tab.

  • Client Fees – Mark the checkboxes of the Type 4 accounts to include in the client fees. This value is displayed when comparing office revenue budgets vs. actual revenue. It is also displayed when displaying prior months' actual billings on the Billing Projections tab of the Financial Projections tool, which is launched from the Projections on the Ribbon toolbar.
